If you’ve listened to the podcast we recorded on Saturday you’d hear an explanation as to why we feature a lot of big Deeze, B-iLLa and Tricksta promoted/produced material, so you’ll just have to listen to find out won’t you? As well as hearing another B-iLLA and Deeze track ‘Move Back’.
Big Dutty Deeze and Mistah Biggs really go in on this one. This is a perfect example of how to write an introspective track without falling into cliches, and without using predictable lines. Really digging the vocals on both MCs too.
That good stuff that you’d expect to hear from Verb-T and High Focus Records.
Now I know we don’t normally post hip-hop life this, and I have to be honest the production and instrumentation is something that would immediately turn me off, but the lyrical content is pretty tight, and you really can’t deny his heart and skill as an MC. Take a little chance, plus I know you all secretly listen to shitty music that not only has bad production but awful lyrics too (we all do), so at least this has the lyrical diversity and skiled rapper to balance it out.
So basically yeah, I really am too cool for school because hey I knew about 810 before we were even contacted by his producer Tuelv. This means since we all have an amazing music taste over here at HHLAT, then guess what? This is track is awesome. Aside from that little ego-outburst, 810 is a really hardworking, sincere and generally good rapper from Baltimore. Support this dude, and support Tuelv. For fans of Trek Life, Fashawn.

The 17th is an artist that we’ve featured before with a wonderfully entitled track called ‘Rubbish’ that guest stared Fokis and Spoke In Wordz, which was about the current state of commercial radio-rap. Now he’s back with his free EP, with the aptly titled ‘Free Music’. It’s a release from a man that isn’t from the hood, doesn’t have any guns, never sold drugs in his life and makes music that is probably more real than half of the stuff out there. No you don’t need to clap guns son. This is a really solid release, and the more I listen to The 17th, the bigger fan I become. ‘Rubbish’ is a great song, but after listening to the whole EP, it’s not even his best track you really need to get your little paws on this. We’ll defaintely be featuring him in the future, maybe even on our podcast.
For fans of Pacewon, Murs, Tonedeff, Diabolic.
Right now, just posted hot off the internet presses is LATE. If you’re not aware of him then you need to school yourself. Bboy writer, all city tagger. CALICO steps up in this track too. 100% independent, and 100% backed.
Really feeling this track by J The Exodus; also I’m always a sucker for MCs with long names so that always helps. Came across J The Exodus today but it’s obvious from the first time you listen that his style is really mature and his content is really well versed, and thought out. It takes a certain performer to be able teach an audience without appearing condescending, and I think J does this very well. We’ll definitely be supporting him in all his latest releases, and I strongly recommend you check him out as well.
For fans of Akala, Logic, Lowkey.
