“The Process” is a web-series that zeros in on the various methods artists use to reach a creative means. From writing, rhyming, how a beat is produced, to how they actually record– everyone has a process!
Episode One of “The Process” sheds some light on Skyzoo’s process, as he writes and records a verse to Nina B’s “718” (which also includes Action Bronson) from her recently released mixtape “Titles Are Played Out!.”

With a style that is poetical and introspective, CeaSe has much to offer the ever expanding UK Hip-Hop scene, not only in terms of quality but also in terms of diversity, which can only serve to strengthen its culture.
One of the most notable aspects of his music is the poetical and spiritual nature of the lyrics and feel of the music itself. As a teenager CeaSe was heavily exposed to and involved in religion and spirituality. Although his engagment with such topics was quite heavy and perhaps suffocating, it provided him with an outlook on life that goes beyond what we are taught to think and see. These perceptions are found in his lyrics and also the way in the which he interprets his own life experiences, and the things he sees and hears from others and the world around him in general. CeaSe’s other wide-ranging interests in history, astronomy and psychology also shed light on the way he sees his own actions and those of others, ultimately expressed through the medium of lyric, music and melody.
Being the son of Jamaican immigrants, CeaSe’s first exposure to music was undoubtedly reggae. Although the current sound of his music is not so obviously influenced by the genre, the musical influence it provided gave him a good basis to form the feel of music that many artists rely upon, besides the mental aspect of creating it. His relationship with Hip-Hop began with the London battle and open mic scene, most notably in now defunct powerhouse underground venues such as Kung-Fu and Deal Real. It was in places such as these that the allure and energy of Hip-Hop drew him in as he witnessed live the power of the music and its words.
CeaSe started writing at about age 15, although not always in the form of structred song. It was during the periods of writing in a free form that his poetical style was nurtred and developed, as it allowed his style of writing to evolve and mature into what it is today. This free form style of writing lyrics also satisfied and heightened his love of words and literature in themselves, which in turn had an impact upon his music. Besides the current release of his ‘Promo EP’, CeaSe is writing and recording material for his first mixtape which will be released in January 2013. Although no name exists as of yet, his mixtape will capture the essence of his style and personality both lyrically and sonically.

Northern Virginia emcee/producer follows up with his second single from the upcoming album “Lamplighter’s Delight”.
“The Right Time” is an uplifting new track featuring John Robinson, otherwise known as Lil Sci from the legendary group Scienz of Life. Next week, when the album is fully released, JR will re-appear once again on a separate track…as does Mike Zoot, previously featured on the first single “Light It Up” (w/ El Da Sensei & DJ Spinna) that we featured previously on HHL&T.
Production for “The Right Time” was provided by another VA resident, ST/MiC, who produced 3 more beats for the upcoming release. ST/MiC was the man responsible for the engineering, mixing and mastering of the album as well.
The “Lamplighter’s Delight” album will be available for online purchase on Tues August 28th, 2012 at www.cashusflow.bandcamp.com
