Yeah, yeah I know it was actually the 6th of August but I was busy being hungover and watching ‘The Heroes of Telemark’ (oh my days that film is so fucking good). I figured watching Usain Bolt win the 100m race was good enough celebration. But since a lot of influence within hip-hop comes from the Carribean and Jamaica I thought I’d write a cheeky post in commemoration of sorts. So I’ve decided to post loads of Sean Paul…Hahaha no. My grandparents came over to these cloudly shores in the late 1940’s/early 50’s (yes, yes Chinese-Jamaican’s stand up!) so I figured I should at least say something about Jamaica. So here it is: very nice weather, sadly too violent, good chicken, Reggae, very fast runners and my nan’s saltfish and ackee .
