Philly bred ex-teacher Random aka Mega Ran enlisted another educator turned rhyme-slinger, recent Stones Throw Records signee Homeboy Sandman. Mega Ran and Boy Sand lament on inner-city teacher blues. Low standards, safety issues and teacher accountability are just a few of the issues addressed by the two former educators.. First Single from “Language Arts” Volume 2, releasing August 22, 2012. Check it out as Random and Homeboy go over an ill funk chop by DN3, with precise cuts and scratches by Phoenix’s DJ LES 735.
Until then and if you’re reading this in the States, catch Random on tour with Open Mike Eagle and DJ DN3 on the Summer Sessions tour.
