Check out this dope four track EP from A.C with production by Otee the Scoundral, the EP also features an appearance from D-21. ‘My Perspective’ is available to download from http://acthemc.bandcamp.com/album/my-perspective-ep with a name your price, so technically you could get this for free but show ya support for Independent Hip Hop and at least contribute a couple of quid or dollars, you wont regret it!
Now, now please don’t think this is out of laziness but sometimes when Tricksta sends us artists and music to check out, his write-up pretty much says all we want to say anyway. That was a disclaimer, but it’s very true. I will however say, another banger and another awesome artist to get excited about.
Meet producer King I Divine; synonymous with the MPC and the mastermind behind the ‘Flipped: Jodeci Edition’ beat tape, the ‘Crown Jewelz 1, 2 and 3’ series and the atmospheric themed ‘East 54th’ EP. Raised in Queens, N.Y but an ATL resident, King I Divine has been creating music since 2008. Arguably, his love affair with Hip Hop was birthed years before, considering that his early influences were RZA, DJ Premier, Pete Rock and the late J Dilla to name a few. With a growing, substantial Internet and worldwide following, his credits include producing for some known and upcoming acts.
Hosted by 2 DopeBoyz, his most acclaimed instalment to date, ‘Divine Scienze” is the feel-good, hard-hitting collaborative album with Brooklyn emcee Scienze, featuring several notable artists. Known for unique live performances accompanied by his APC 40 and a sound that honours a diverse range from soul and jazz music to authentic boom-bap Hip Hop, King I Divine plans to establish his legacy in delivering authentic and timeless music for all listeners.
Described as a treat for beat heads and music lovers alike, King I Divine has released the full thirteen instrumental tracks from the fan-favourite album, ‘Divine Scienze’. This is available exclusively for ONE month only!!!

You know what this Thursday’s missing? A bit of free hip-hop, yeah that sounds nice. Today’s free beats come in the form of Ancient Alienz’ (feat. Donnie Darko) ‘Brutality’. Courtesy of Never So Deep Records. Have a listen yourselves.
A.C, Zuby, Mr Shaodow, Terra Slim, Daley Grinder, Genesis Elijah putting all this ‘unsigned rappers are terrorists’ nonsense down. If you’ve not seen the video, or the other ‘debates’ (and I use that word very loosely) then I suggest you take a look at the original video. It’s some completely nonsensical jibber jabber, and anyone who knows underground hip-hop, in fact any type of underground music regardless of genre will tell you the same. I’ve watched a few of other videos and apparently they’re meant to be ‘tastemakers’. Shiiiit my mum’s got more knowledge of hip-hop, give her a call she’ll fucking school you.
Just so you know it’s no fuckery, JumpoffUK’s got some sick stuff, and I’ve spent way too many hours watching their videos so please don’t think this is a diss to them because it’s really not. They showcase some amazing stuff and I’ve got nothing but love for them. It’s just these so-called taste makers, and ‘trend setters’ (I giggled a little just typing that) like Jasfly and LowkeyUHT and all those other raspberry spitters. In fact I’m glad JumpoffUSA put those cats on, it gives us all some interesting topics to discuss, and some uninformed dudes to chuckle at.
End of the day, just do you and if you love it chances are other people will as well. Send us your music, and we’ll get excited about it too. But definitely not Jasfly.
Aimee
Best quote from this video: Terra Slim, “These are Fresh Prince of Bel-Air type people’. Hahaha! Check it for yourself.
Exclusive remix to the F.E.B. banger “Samurai Swords” produced by Freak Tha Monsta. The original video was blocked by YouTube in the US because it was too dope.
Some pretty shocking news has rocked up tonight in the old world of underground hipada hopada. Lowkey, young UK legend MC and all round fantastic spitter has decided to step away from the mic to concentrate on his studies. It comes as a complete surprise, especially after the success of his most recent album ‘Soundtrack To The Struggle’. I suppose even the most prolific rappers needs a break to reassess and get their minds right. We at HHLAT wish Lowkey the best of luck in whatever he decides to put his hand to, and hope he’ll be back to the music world sooner rather than later. He’s needed!
Here’s the ‘press release’ from his Facebook page.
“After many months of contemplation I have decided to step away from music and concentrate on my studies. Maybe at some point I will get back into it again but at this stage I feel I should direct my energy in different, more helpful directions. The ego is a destructive thing and I feel this business and these social networks in particular have a tendency to feed it in an unhealthy way. I will be deactivating this page. Thank you for all those who have supported me over the years. See you on the other side people.”
For those of you that missed ever rad, and always awesome (Ooh compliments indeed) Friday Night Live Show on Conspiracy Worldwide Radio last Friday, fancy listening to the show? Well, well have no fear my little cherubins because we’ve got the link to their special Friday the 13th show. As always they’re playing some sick tracks from all over errreee, and speak to Tech N9ne, Freshman Hopsin, Gift Of Gab, Boldy James, I Am Many, Goretex and a whole other bunch of ridiculous people. I once asked Menace how he manages to get some of the biggest names in the game on his show, and he said he simply asks. Ha well if you never ask, then you’ll never know. We could all learn a little something from Mista Montana and Menace.
Best listened to live whilst rocking the XBox, or at the gym the day after.
