Today is the anniversary of the death of rapper and producer, Guru from the legendary Gang Starr. Guru was one of the most prolific and respected rappers of all time. Ask anyone who were some of the first groups and rappers they listened to when they first started getting into hip-hop, and chances are Gang Starr will come up. Although today is a sad day, let’s not mourn the death but celebrate the life of one of the most influential figures in hip-hop.
Rest in peace, Guru forever.
