Nottingham based producer Endemic is getting ready to release his next opus – Terminal Illness Part 2.
Following on from the epic Terminal Illness vol 1 [one of the few UK hip hop releases to secure major label distribution in the US! Through EMI] 2009’s Cappo E.P and last years acclaimed Cyrus Malachi LP, Endemic is continuing to spread his production and A&R credits across the globe with his forthcoming offering.
As the first UK based producer to release an album on legendary US independent label Duck Down Records, home to Pharoahe Monch, Talib Kweli, Statik Selektah, Smif N Wesson, Sean Price, Black Moon and many others, Endemic’s latest project is set to further cement his position as one of the most consistent hip hop beat makers the UK had produced in the last decade.
Set for release this summer Terminal Illness Part 2 already has a list of certified US & UK MC’s involved, including the mighty Masta Killa [Wu Tang], Queens Bridge hero Tragedy Khadafi, Bootcamp soldier Rustie Juxx, heavy hitter Roc Marciano, Dom Pacino, Killah Priest, Hell Razah, Shabazz The Disciple, Bronze Nazareth & The Wisemen, Shabam Sahdeeq, British born wordsmith Cyrus Malachi, Bugsy Da God and many many more!!

A few weeks ago B-Girl Document did a short but pretty interesting with Menace the co-creator of Conspiracy Worldwide Radio and co-host of ‘The Friday Night Live Show which broadcasts on Friday nights. Conspiracy Worldwide Radio has included radio radio shows in its schedule from the likes of Jeru The Damaja, K-Murdock (Panacea), DJ Lord Jazz (Lords Of The Underground), Reef The Lost Cause and many other hip hop luminaries. Basically, they’re cool cats.
Menace also writes for Welsh graffiti magazine “The Hard Copy“. He’s promised me an interview that will blow everyone’s minds, but until that check the one he did with B-Girl.
IKES’ latest project ‘The Intermission: Last Call‘ is out now on iTunes.
Consider this the first of many posts today of some ridiculous hip-hop (as always son). Reef is one of my all-time favourite rappers ever since I first came across Army Of The Pharaohs, and since then he’s consistently put out bangers, and teamed up with fantastic spitters. Blacastan is such a solid rapper, catchy as anything but in no way ever diluted. I really can’t find a bad word to say about him, and the two rappers compliment each other perfectly on this track. The production and scratching is reminiscent of that nice summer feeling we’ve all forgotten over these LONG winter months. I can’t wait to start rocking this song over a BBQ. A pure golden track.
“This song is taken from Blacastan’s forthcoming LP “The Master Builder Part II” 2 X CD (disc 1-full length album; disc 2-mixtape version of full album plus bonus cuts) which is now available, hosted & mixed by Doo Wop & Mr. Peter Parker. Featuring appearances from Slaine, Celph Titled, Moe Pope, OuterSpace, Mr. Green, Reef The Lost Cauze & more.”

So this is my first real day off on my own, without some sucker giving me reh teh teh in about shall we say a fortnight. I have of course spent the day doing some real scandalass shit. You know, vacuuming, having a bath and watching Law & Order: SVU (The greatest thing on TV), those real crazy gangsta road tings you’d expect any one of the HHLAT Squad to be getting up to. Fuck man, I might even switch some shit up and go downstairs and make myself another tea after I’ve drunk this one. Hooohoo!
Where is this going you say? It’s my excuse for not having loads of content on the site all afternoon. The boys are all working and I’ve been getting up to the previously above mentioned scandalass shit, so please keep checking back this evening for all that awesome content you’ve come to expect from Hip-Hop Life & Times. We REALLY appreciate any and all support we’ve been given since our inception, scene supporting itself.

Video for the Ugly Duckling song “Elevate”. Animated by Justin Ridge and directed by Stoney Sharp, this is the first video from the group’s 2011 album “Moving At Breakneck Speed”.
The video features comedians T.J. Miller and Zack Pearlman as well as Nathan Barnatt and several other members of the UD family. The goal of this video was to bring the Breakneck Speed album cover to live. See if you can also spot each of the previous Ugly Duckling album covers throughout the video.
