This little gem has been sitting gathering dust in my inbox so apologies in advance for the delay in getting it posted!! Gadget is a UK based producer/emcee and it’s been some time since he graced the microphone and gave us a completley solo project.
Well, now he has whilst also paying tribute to the late, great J Dilla. Gadget displays smooth, low toned and often melodic raps along with his soul filled harmonic melodies that sit nicley over Jay Dee’s legendary productions.
Gadget said on the Project “For years I’ve said to myself I should do a little something and pay homage to the big man whom I found so inspirational, so this year ‘2012’ I did”
He added “This was done over a five day period between commitments. I just switched on the mic, vibed out and recorded some old, new and unheard lyrics as well as some on the spot freestyles and hooks. I hope you can “get down” with it!”
