“Reinventing’ is the new release from North West London Grime & Hip-Hop artist Razor. Following up from last years mixtape ‘Venting’, Razor once again drops his trademark precision flow over some diverse production dropping introspective narratives with a thoughtfulness sometimes forgotten in the music, while balancing out the mixtape with more kinetic tunes also. Developing sonically and conceptually from his earlier material, ‘Reinventing’ sees Razor dominating new soundscapes in addition to his Grime background; from Dubstep to Rock to straight up Hip-Hop, assisted by artists like Example and Foz Tee. This release shows that Razor is an artist with the skills and the determination to make noise in the music industry. ‘Reinventing’ includes the video track ‘Sci-Fi’, which has already included in Channel AKA’s Hoodtube playlist, as well as hooking up with Ruthless Records, home in the past to such artists as Giggs, K Koke and many more.
‘Reinventing’ comes after a year of extensive performing, networking, distributing and self promotion which has led to him being featured in magazines such as UKB and Kix, as well as performing at events alongside artists such as Don Strapzy (Dru Blu) Dotstar, Gfrsh and many more. Recently Razor also emerged as the winner of the ‘In It To Win It’ rap competition, going up against artists like English Frank, Pyrelli and Jammin leading to Razor being filmed for a video for Link Up TV. Since then Razor has been featured on the independent DVD release ‘The Hoods Got Talent’ alongside the likes of SBTV’s Jamal Edwards, Gordan Mac founder of Kiss FM, Ace & Vis from BBC 1Xtra and many more.”
