SOUL, FUNK, 60’s R&B, TITTYSHAKERS, DISCO, AFRO AND LATIN. You know it makes sense!
Breakin Bread’s residency at the Blues Kitchen goes from strength to strength. They’ve almost been there for a year now and each night gets busier, more b-boys turn up, more soul and funk fanatics hit the dancefloor and the vibe just grows and grows!
Skeg is feeding the growing frenzy by booking the best soul and funk bands, the best breakdancers and playing the best tunes. Nobody does it like Breakin Bread can, they’ve been doing it for longer than anyone else in London and have better contacts on the scene than anybody else.
This month sees The Grits return for a deep funk set chock full of beats, breaks and their signature dirty sound. Chris Read also steps in on the DJing duties to celebrate the release of 2 tropical 7″s that Chris has signed to Breakin Bread. Expect Chris’s incredible style of DJing with dope cuts and mixing and a superb selection. One of London’s top B-boy crews Foundationz make their debut at The Blues Kitchen and will be hyping the crowd when they clear the dinner tables to get the dance circle going. As ever DJ Skeg will be bringing to bear his 13 years’ experience of DJing to a Breakin Bread crowd. All in all, it’s going to be a live one!Blues Kitchen, 111 – 113 Camden High Street, London NW1
