In what is yet another incredible line up for any Hip-Hop party The Doctor’s Orders have teamed up classic golden era talent with emerging brand new skills in a combined DJ and live line up that is sure to have this great venue packed to the rafters once again!
The Pharcyde were responsible as many for the sound of classic soul drenched golden era Hip-Hop with albums like “Bizarre Ride II’ & ‘Labcabincalifornia” and singles such as ‘Passin Me By’ and the J-Dilla produced ‘Runnin’ & ‘Drop” that still tear up clubs across the world. Tonight one third of that crew in the shape of the Fatlip spins a set that shows exactly where this inspiration for these classic sounds came from.
Joining him and our crack team of residents is the very latest signing to the brilliant California based label Stones Throw that already boasts a roster including Madlib, J-Dilla, Aloe Blacc, Mayer Hawthorne and Dam Funk to name a few. The incredible Homeboy Sandman has already wowed The Doctor’s Orders faithful back in January 2011 showing that with this Ivy League education and laid back style are just one of the reasons he stands head & shoulders above many rappers. Well that and the fact he is around 9ft tall!
This is an incredible chance to party and celebrate the future and past of true school Hip-Hop so make sure you get down to On The Real.

Just Blaze join The Doctor’s Orders once for the third year in a row for what is certain to be another road block session of real Hip-Hop. As one of the most creative forces in the game Just Blaze cut his teeth in the late 90’s creating underground bangers for the likes of Buckshot. His distinctive sound soon caught the ear of the biggest players in the game and he soon had beats featured on albums for the likes of Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Big Pun & Jadakiss. It was however as an in house producer with Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella records that he really made waves producing instant classics for Kanye West, Cam’ron, Freeway, Memphis Bleek, Beanie Sigel and of Jay-Z who has featured Just Blaze beats on 6 of his last 7 albums, all of which have gone platinum! Most recently he has been working with the hottest names in the game in the shape of Drake, Jay Electronica and upping his profile as the host of ‘Masters of The Mix’.
The Jersey born producer, known as the Megatron Don, has a distinctive soul drenched sound that bangs so hard that it rocks dance-floors across the globe. He will no doubt be treating a packed house to a fantastic mix of his own productions and the influences behind them in his only UK show of 2012.

Kenny Dope has been one of the most influential names in music since he started as a DJ throwing Brooklyn block parties in 1985. Alongside his production and DJ partner Louie Vega he is one half of Masters At Work who while best known for their house productions & remixes are responsible for some of the most soul drenched sounds ever heard on dance-floors around the globe including 1996’s brilliant ‘Nuyorican Soul’. Remixes for a who’s who including Michael Jackson, Jamiroquai, Bjork, George Benson & Madonna to name a few and The Bucketheads’ chart topping ‘The Bomb’, one of Kenny’s many successful side projects, all show the depth of jazz, soul and disco infused musicianship that informs not only their production work but DJ sets.
For your favourite Hip-Hop DJs Kenny’s brilliant floor shaking productions have been a secret arsenal of bangers for many years. You may not be aware of knowing any Kenny Dope tunes but believe us they have had you shaking your ass at many parties for many years, including The Doctor’s Orders.

A member of Fokis’ bi-coastal conglomerate Local MU12, Bronx representative NOM ventures out on his own for the release of his first single, ‘Ride’ from his upcoming mixtape ‘Different Breed’.
Fokis’ work with Nom goes back a few years, as the pair have collaborated previously on cuts such as ‘Monumental’ (from Fokis’ A Walk Thru Myspace Vol. 2) and on the Vanderslice produced ‘I Got A Crush’ Fokis said “NOM is a very dope artist, he is a young cat with an old soul.”
