Even though this was released for some summer vibes, since this week (well where I am at least) the sun is making a guest appearance I figured now was a good a time as any to let you get your dirty mitts on a free 9th Dan track. It features Bruce Gamma, DJ TRICKALOME and is produced by Double Lyfe is perfect mix of content and smooth production. If you like what you hear 9th Dan will be releasing his LP soon via Chess Moves Cartel, but if you just can’t wait until then have a look at his Soundcloud page for more killer tracks; and you really love that visual hype then feast your eyes on the RapTV video below.

One of the albums I was most excited about this year, ‘The Only Number That Matters Is Won’ had to be without doubt within my top 5 of ‘I-can’t-wait-how-long-’til-this-comes-out’ records. All the singles that Pacewon and Mr Green had released in preparation of the album drop have been better than a majority of tracks I hear on a daily basis. The album is out now and it does not disappoint at all, if anything it’s better than I expected. Sucker MCs take note on how to write a sick jam. That goes for the shallow producers; this is how you make consistant and bar raising songs. I have enough talked about the lyrical content yet? Well, my bad-it’s smart and self-aware as always.
Snoop and BURNTmd both feature on this track, and both shine. I’d only heard a bit of BURNTmd before, but he really goes in with flow and style, and his mcing works really well with the other two on this. It also seems like Pacewon and Mr Green called up Snoop and said “Yeah, could you pretend it’s 10-15 years and then record your part?’ ’cause I’ll be honest Snoop only has a short part, but it’s still golden nonetheless. Anyway, enough of my jibber jabber watch the video for yourself because it’s hilarious.

Personally I think Dead Man Walkn is far too generous with all the freebies he’s always giving out, but what can I say, the man’s too prolific for his own good I guess. The Red Book is his latest instrumental album released via Crimson Sky Music and features tracks from some of better UK heads such as F.L.I.P, Terra Slim, Venda Maf and AC plus a whole bunch of others, and a few exclusives for you undeserving lot. This is a solid release, and I’ve already got a few personal favourites-but hey you’ll just have to listen to it yourself to decide for yourself.
Another sick album from Dead Man Walkn, get it whilst it’s piping hot.

After some business differences, Conscious Route has decided to part company with You Sonix Records, and create his own brand for his creative output called True Hold Records. It’s been a busy month for Conscious Route after a very successful album launch party with performances from Combo Combo, Deeko, Werd, Conscious Route, Blasfima and Viara Ivanova. The live shows didn’t stop there either, with Edinburgh Fringe Festival slots at Defcon Jungalism event and Dirty District Hip-Hop night. Response on the album ‘Real World’ from Conscious Route has been really positive too. He recently got interviewed and had tracks played on Castle Radio with Ian Schofield championing the album, as well as some amazing reviews on the UK’s leading Hip-Hop blogs.
